Ever since I started investing in makeups, contour palettes weren’t really my priority. I’m not much of a contour person. I honestly don’t know why I never bothered getting myself one, considering that I have a really round face! I’m just really glad that I got myself one and I finally learned how to shade the sides of my face because I obviously need it!
This palette has 3 matte highlight shades and 3 bronzer shades. I also just want to mention that the pans of this palette are huge! It’ll definitely last you awhile!
It comes in a cardboard packaging that magnetically closes. It has a wide mirror which I really appreciate because mirrors are quite rare on palettes these days so bringing this around when you travel would be easy! Also, the “Pro Contour” is embossed on the front so it will never fade. Moreover, all the information that you could think of is stated at the back—from ingredients, to manufacturer, to expiration date and most importantly, the instructions. I love how the instructions are very particular!
This product is cruelty free and it lasts up to 24 months after opening! I mean, that’s quite a long time! I love it! Moving on, I also just realized that this product has p a r a b e n in it. A turn off but it’s really up to you if you’ll use it or nah.
The bronzers are just the perfect cool toned shades unlike other bronzers that are too reddish when applied on the skin. These are just the right colors for my skin tone. The highlighters are so nice! I expected them to be the typical shimmery highlighters but turns out, they’re matte! They’re perfect for setting your concealer or even just to highlight the highest points of your face or cleaning up after you apply a bronzer. All the shades in this palette are very useable so you’re really paying for 6 pans!
I’ve also heard about the talk about this being the dupe of the Kat Von D palette and I honestly can’t say much about that because I don’t have it on my stash but packaging wise, it looks really similar!
These are very pigmented although you would need to build it up because who would ever apply a bronzer in one swipe? That’s just scary! lol! It’s a little bit powdery but it’s nothing that I can’t work with. Just make sure not to put so much pressure when you’re getting the product and don’t forget to tap off the excess and you’re good to go! The formulation is so nice!
I usually just use a big brush to apply the bronzers on the sides of my face. I don’t “contour”, I just shade the areas that I want to appear smaller. It’s very easy to apply and blends well on the skin. It looks very seamless when blended.
ACCESSIBILITY & PRICE
This retails for $5.99 on the Profusion website and sadly it’s not locally available in the Philippines. However, there are a lot of resellers that you can get this from. Just expect for a higher price because of taxes and all. I got mine from Angeline Buna. Check her on Facebook for US authentic products.
Honestly, this product is so good for its price. The packaging and the pigmentation is so much more than its selling price.
I never intended to test its longevity but as far as I know it lasts the whole day.
So far, I have been really loving this contour palette. It’s the first palette I grab whenever I feel like applying a bronzer because it’s honestly so good for its price! I love it so much. By the way, I’m really a cheapskate and when it comes to make up, the little things makes me happy! But when I don’t like a product, I really say it because I don’t really want to waste any of my and YOUR effort/time.
Important facts about this product:

I’m rating this a 4/5 because of the paraben ingredient! *sad*
